GIPPI meet

Apart from “The Blue Umbrella”, “Taare Zameen Par” and “Chillar Party”, we have yet to see that many children-based films churned out by the Indian Film industry in the past few years. While we know that Karan Johar’s animated remake of Kuch Kuch Hota Hain – “Koochie Koochie Hota Hain” has been bumped back for a theatrical release, his “Gippi” does come across as a breath of fresh air.

These days promoting films are of paramount importance and nobody comes close to Kjo as far as movie promotions are concerned. This time round, Karan Johar engaged the latest heartthrobs, Siddharth Malhotra and Arjun Kapoor, to feature in the first teaser of “Gippi”. You will see a very cool and unruffled Malhotra talking about his childhood crush while sipping a mug of coffee. Arjun Kapoor, on the other hand, is seen unapologetically gobbling a huge burger, just like “Gippi”!
