The five minutes spent glaring in front of an open closet figuring out what to wear on a date. A few seconds of silly vanity. Stolen gazes that make you chuckle. Checking his Facebook. The precious late night phone-calls. The silently holding hands. Wishing time would just pause. The beginning of a story. Thrill of long dreamy drives. The eagerly waiting for unforgettable dinner dates. Watching sunsets. Getting lost together in one blanket. Forgetting the world, the whys and the ifs. A gust of romance. And in the midst of all this.. love happens.
Guys if you haven’t heard “Yaaram”, you have no idea what you are missing out! It’s the perfect recipe for ‘Song of the Year’. A legend (Gulzar), simple words (Lyrics) and a brilliant music director (Vishal Bhardwaj) can only create magic.
Ek Thi Daayan might be horror flick but this particular song is compellingly romantic. It is indeed pretty obvious that I am completely in love with the song “Yaaram”- which means “beloved”. One suggestion would be to pay close attention to the lyrics while listening to the song. It begins with an acoustic guitar, Sunidhi Chauhan’s beautiful rendition and a soothing tune. It then goes on to become a high tempo number. Clinton Cerejo’s voice was just perfect for the song. Add to that Gulzar’s out-of-the-box lyrics tell a story – a poetry with practical thoughts. The use of unconventional words like “filein” – files, “ainaki” – eye glasses, laptop, cap and phone. I mean when you are in love.. this all just happens.. doesn’t it?
